renewal
Solstice. The shortest and darkest day of the year. What an opportunity to turn inward and think about what can be left behind and what can begin to be uncovered. What has always been there and is ready to come in with the ever lengthening daylight…Oh, and it was a full moon.
From the darkest day
Or the most frozen of earth
will always come
the whisper
and promise
of a new path.
Even when unseen
to eyes so very aware
of the physical nature.
Beneath layers of forgetting
Bubbles the hope
that surely, purposefully
ever so intentionally
ignites the one tiny spark
that illuminates the abyss.
Only after all has crumbled
After all has turned to ash
can the light emerge.
Like a phoenix or a bloom
A new existence seemingly spontaneous
but always aching to be uncovered.
Ready for more and more light? I am. I see you.
